Presentation
When we investigated the issue of ocean pollution, we found that it is closely related to our convenient lifestyle. For example, using plastic straws when drinking bubble tea or getting free plastic bags when buying groceries at traditional markets.

Surprisingly, these everyday plastics are not the main cause of ocean pollution. The biggest source comes from fishing activities, such as discarded plastic bottles and plastic bait used in oyster farming. Our oceans have been affected by plastic for over 50 years, and scientists have gradually observed microplastics in the environment.

During our interview with De-Hao Chen, we mentioned microplastics. Dr. Chen told us not to worry too much, because microplastics are already everywhere in our environment. If we are really concerned, the main thing is to prevent marine animals from ingesting them.

Even though this explanation made us feel more at ease, we still wonder what the ocean will be like in ten or twenty years if conditions do not improve. Therefore, we must share our research with all the teachers and students at our school. Although we have learned some related content in class, doing our own research gave us a deeper understanding. We want to share this urgent message with everyone and encourage them to cherish resources, reuse items, and reduce the burden on our planet.
